A WOMAN was trapped in her red Peugeot 306 car after it overturned on the A25 at Ightham, near Sevenoaks.

She was freed from the vehicle by the emergency services and taken to Kent and Sussex Hospital at Tunbridge Wells. Police say she sustained only minor injuries.

The crash happened at about 2.50pm on Sunday near a lay-by close to a recreation ground.

Police spokeswoman Anne McCarthy said: "There were no other vehicles involved in the incident and no other people in the car."
