Police at the scene of the crash on the A20

A man has been airlifted to hospital with suspected life-threatening injuries after a serious crash this morning.

Another man has been taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries after the smash on the A20 near Hythe.

The crash involved a Vauxhall Corsa and a Mercedes van shortly before 8am close to the junction 11 roundabout for the M20.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating and appealing for witnesses.

The road was closed for more than seven hours until around 3.30pm.
