Driver stops train after seeing person on the line

Reports of a person on the railway line in the Canterbury area have delayed early morning commuter trains today.

Police are at the scene in Whitehall Road crossing area although they say they are not dealing with a fatality or someone who has been injured.

A British Transport Police officer said a driver had to stop his train after seeing someone on the line

Trains between Canterbury and Chartham are delayed while the incident is investigated .
