A driver had a lucky escape when his car careered out of control at a motorway junction.

The blue Peugeot 206 also narrowly missed a contractors’ cabin when it came to a halt at roadworks.

The incident happened on a slip road of the M20 coastbound at junction 9 in Ashford at 2pm on Monday.

The car had been negotiating the roundabout.

No other vehicles were involved and nobody was injured. The car was recovered at around 3pm.
