Drivers trapped after two-car crash

TWO motorists had to be cut free from the wreckage of their cars after a road accident during this morning's rush hour.

One man suffered serious injuries in the crash, which involved a red Rover 416 and a blue Vauxhall Astra. It happened at around 8.55am on the A262 at Goudhurst, near Tunbridge Wells.

The other driver was also taken to hospital.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Meanwhile, one person was hurt when two cars collided in Tunbridge Wells yesterday evening.

A silver Renault Clio and a blue Proton were involved in the crash in Sandhurst Road at around 6.40pm. A stationary green VW Golf was damaged as a result of the collision.

One person involved was taken to Kent and Sussex Hospital with what are thought to be minor injuries.
