The Dub Pistols bring dub and big beat music with punk rock attitude to Margate's Westcoast on Friday (February 26).
Formed in 1996, the band released two singles There's Gonna Be a Riot and Best Got Better in their debut year; by the time of their 1998 debut album Point Blank, big beat appeared to have run its course.
However the Dub Pistols remained and still remain to this day an infectious live act.
Proof of how great they are lies with how they went down at the 2009 Lounge On A Farm Festival in Kent where they were considered the best band of the weekend.
As well as playing an infectious tight live set, the Dub Pistols still continue to release great music with their 2009 album Run N Coke receiving wide musical acclaim.
Opening the night are West Midlands based ska/dub band Resolution 242 who opened for The Ghost Of A Thousand at the West Coast in 2009.
Doors open at 7.30pm and this is an all ages show. Tickets are £12.50 in advance fromwww.westcoastlive.co.ukor by emailwestcoastbar1@aol.co.uk, or by phone on 07938 090 700
