Betteshanger bowls player Jamie Dunn booked his place in the national finals of the Warners Champion of Champions after a 21-18 victory over Deangate Ridge’s Mark Devonshire.

Dunn went ahead 8-2 to suggest a comprehensive win was on the cards, before Devonshire turned the contest round, taking a 13-8 lead. He moved 16-10 ahead but from then on the Betteshanger player fought back, regaining the initiative at 17-16.

The next four ends were shared to leave Dunn 19-18 in front before he forced a no-end and won the tie on the replayed end to book his place in the finals at Hayling Island in February.
