Loick Pires netted twice as Welling made sure of their place in the Blue Square Bet South play-offs with a comfortable win at Eastbourne Borough.
Eastbourne's Ollie Rowe handled after 14 minutes and - after previous misses by Lee Clarke and Dean Cracknell - it was Joe Healy's turn to take over penalty duties.
Healy duly found the top corner to put the Wings ahead and they added a classy second goal 10 minutes left.
Jack Obersteller raced down the left wing and Healy turned his cross into the path of Pires, who converted beyond keeper Mitchell Walker.
Pires (pictured) wrapped the points up in the second half with another excellent finish after brilliant work by Harry Baker.
The game also saw a clean sheet for Wings favourite Jamie Turner, who signed for the club on transfer deadline day as back-up. WIth regular keeper Craig Holloway ruled out through illness, Turner stepped in and produced a couple of decent saves on his first appearance for the Wings for a number of seasons.
A late goal from Hakeem Araba helped Bromley edge one point nearer safety with 1-1 draw at play-off hopefuls Sutton United, who played much of the second half with 10 men.
Sutton's Anwar Uddin received his marching orders in the 50th minute after bringing down Aaron Rhule, and with 15 minutes left, Araba met Michael Malcolm's cross to head the equaliser.
Two minutes later Gareth Williams almost won it for the visitors when he hit the crossbar with a header from another Malcolm centre.
Former Gillingham striker Stefan Payne had given Sutton a first-half lead.
