THE Easter break promises to be a fun time for people of all ages who visit the Historic Dockyard at Chatham.
A family fun trail will be launched at the historical venue over the Bank Holiday weekend and it will be a chance for families to find out some interesting and unusual facts about the 16th century dockyard.
As well as the usual attractions, visitors will be able to work their way around the site to find hidden clues to help them complete the fun trail.
Clues will be hidden all around the dockyard some will be in the wooden walls others will be concealed historic warships, RNLI national collection of lifeboats, or could be hidden in the ropery or the museum of the Royal Dockyard.
Families are invited to pick a fun trail sheet in their way in the site at the admissions desk. If families finish the trail they can collect a certificate of completion and an Easter egg on their way out.
Also happening during the Bank Holiday weekend (Sunday, April 20 and Monday, April 21) is the Medway Festival of Steam and Transport.
More than 400 steam exhibits will be on show, including steam rollers and locomotives, historic cars and classic motorbikes, traction engines, vans and buses, commercial and military vehicles, and train and crane demonstrations. For ticket prices and opening times call 01634 823807.
