Elderly woman hit by reversing car in Tesco car park

An elderly woman has been flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car.

The pedestrian, who is in her 70s, was struck in Tesco car park, Lunsford Lane, Larkfield, at 11.50am.

A Kent Police spokesman said the car was reversing when the crash happened.

The road was closed by Kent Police, while the Kent Air Ambulance landed.
