Three Medway children are celebrating a very special birthday today.
Katie Gardner (above), Brooke Cashin and Jaike McCallum are all turning 11 on the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year.
St Thomas More School pupil Katie, from Walderslade, was born at Medway Maritime Hospital on November 11, 2000, but mum Sally said she only clocked the special date earlier this year.
The 36-year-old secretary said: “We didn’t think much about the date when she was born because I was rushed in by ambulance, in and out in about three hours.
“She was impatient then and she still is!”
Jaike (above with mum Rebecca), of Shipwrights Avenue, Chatham, received a Millennium medal to honour the year of his birth.
The All Saints Primary School pupil was born at Ashford’s William Harvey Hospital.
Mum Rebecca Homewood, 32, said: “Weirdly enough my birthday’s on the 12th of the 12th, so we all thought it was quite amazing.
“If he had 666 in his birthday I might have been worried, but as it happens I don’t think we’re too bothered.”
Ballet and tap dancing fan Brooke is to celebrate with a disco with her friends from Hempstead Junior School tomorrow (Saturday).
Brooke (above with mum Jane), of Birch Grove, Hempstead, was born at Queen Mary’s Hospital, in Sidcup, four days late.
Mum Jane, 38, said: “She was due on the seventh so it’s funny how these things happen. She always says 11 is her lucky number.”
