The A2 has been closed in both directions due to a crash.
Emergency services have been called to the scene of the accident between Faversham and Sittingbourne.
Police officers and paramedics are attending the crash, thought to involve at least two cars.
An eyewitness reported seeing two ambulances attend the scene just after 5.30pm, while the road was closed at 6.20pm.
Multiple police vehicles remain in the road, near the junction with Provender Lane.
Traffic is queuing from the lane to Four Oaks Road, while there is also congestion on Lower Norton Lane, Lower Road and Four Oaks Road
It is not known if anyone has been injured in the crash.
The road was reopened at 6.45pm but traffic restrictions remain past the scene.
Police have been contacted for more information.
