Firefighters were at the scene of a fire in a town centre.
Crews were called to a two-storey building in Sandling Road, Maidstone at 1.10pm.
At its height, eight fire engines and a height vehicle attended to extinguish the flames in the building – which consists of an undercover car park and disused office space.
One witness who was near the Hare & Hounds pub said he could see smoke billowing from the building before a large emergency service response arrived on scene.
Our reporter at the scene said the road had been closed to traffic but people were still able to use the path.
Demelza Shopping Outlet, which is on Sandling Road, posted a message on their Facebook page saying: "Please be aware that our Maidstone Outlet store will be closed from 1pm today.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and will see you when we're re-open tomorrow."
Police were also at the scene and say they are investigating the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
