A prisoner with links to Kent who escaped from Pentonville prison was recaptured tonight.

Scotland Yard said burglar James Whitlock, 31, was found at an address in Homerton, east London, this afternoon.

Two men aged 48 and 19 were also arrested on suspicion of helping an offender.

Whitlock and Matthew Baker, 28, a convicted attempted murderer, escaped from the north London prison on Monday.
