A sadistic dad jailed today for killing his newborn daughter could be out in a year and a half.
Tiffany Sellman Burdge was less than a month old when she died from heart failure and bleeding to the brain.
The child had been left alone with her brute of a father for the first time.
A judge at Inner London Crown Court said evil Christopher Sellman had treated his daughter "roughly".
Passing sentence Mr Justice Bean said: "This is a tragic case.
"Your daughter Tiffany was left in your care the first time and within one hour she was effectively dead.
"Playing a computer game, you were an annoyed when she cried and slammed her down on a nappy-changing pad."
Sellman was jailed for five years but will only spend two-and-half behind bars and spent the other half on licence.
But Spellman has already served 367 days in custody - meaning he could be released in September 2011.
The thug, previously of Greggs Wood Road, Tunbridge Wells, was found guilty of manslaughter in March after a trial at Maidstone Crown Court.
The court heard he called an ambulance just after 3pm on November 1, 2008 claiming Tiffany was losing colour and had gone "all floppy".
An ambulance arrived at the home and treated the child before taking her to Kent and Sussex Hospital for further treatment.
Tiffany was then taken to Kings College Hospital in London at 8.30pm the same day.
She died two hours later aged just 25 days.
Kent Police investigated Tiffany’s death and arrested Sellman on suspicion of murder the following day.
He was later released on bail pending further investigation and charged on June 4, 2009.
But throughout the investigation officers said Sellman couldn’t give an accurate account of what had happened before he made the 999 call.
During the trial, the court heard how Sellman had told a number of people at least five different versions of what had happened.
Det Ch Insp David Chewter said: "I’m pleased the courts found Sellman guilty for the death of a defenceless child.
"He has never been able to provide a consistent account of what happened to Tiffany and I am pleased the jury delivered a guilty verdict."
DCI Chewter added: "Pamela’s life has been turned upside down and to this day, she continues to struggle with her terrible loss."
In a statement issued by police at the time of the verdict, Tiffany’s mum Pamela Burdge said: "The loss and pain I feel as a result of my beautiful daughter Tiffany’s death is indescribable, I will never get over it.
"I will never be able to understand why Chris never told the truth, but I am relieved justice has been served.
"I now ask to be left alone and that the media do not contact me, my friends or family."
