THE National Trailer and Towing Association has announce that 25 companies have been accredited to its Quality Secured scheme.
The NTTA developed the initiative to provide greater protection for business and public consumers who have towbars fitted to their cars or light commercial vehicles.
Brian Bate, executive administrator at the NTTA, said: “The Quality Secured scheme ensures the highest levels of customer car.”
According to the association, it also means that for maximum customer satisfaction, accredited towbar and trailer centres undertake to:
* Charge only a rate that is fair for the job.
* Utilise components of only the best quality.
* Deploy only skilled and appropriately qualified personnel.
* Guarantee their workmanship.
* Utilise appropriate equipment.
* Provide good levels of care.
* Adhere to the NTTA’s Code of Practice for Accredited companies.
Mr Bate added: "In using a Quality Secured towbar or trailer supplier, industrial buyers and the public benefit from the assurance that their purchasers are legal, above board and safe in terms of legislation, vehicle warranty and insurance.”
