POLICE have released an image of a man they are keen to question in relation to an aggravated burglary at a Kent post office.

The incident occurred at Minster Post Office in Chapel Road, Minster, near Sheerness, at about 3.50am on Sunday, June 19.

It is alleged that the owner was in bed when he heard noises coming from the shop. He investigated and was confronted by a man who threatened to stab him before escaping from the scene. No knife was seen but a quantity of cigarettes were stolen.

Police are keen to speak with a man who is described as being white, aged between 25 and 30, 5ft 7ins tall with short hair. He wore dark jeans and a black hooded style top. It is thought he made off in a green Renault Laguna.

Officers have followed up numerous lines of enquiry since the incident and have now taken the step of releasing CCTV. They feel this may help them progress the investigation.
