POLICE investigating a serious sexual assault on a 27-year-old woman have released this e-fit image of her alleged attacker.

The incident occurred in the Longhill Avenue alleyway that leads to Chatham Hill, Chatham.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in Longhill Avenue between 2am and 5am on Friday, August 11.

In particular they want to hear from two men who were walking up Chatham Hill and motorists who may have seen the 27-year-old woman running across Chatham Hill towards Luton.

Officers want to speak to anyone who may have seen people acting suspiciously, witnessed the assault or saw a man running in Longhill Avenue towards the Great Lines.

The suspect is described as being white, in his early 30s with short, dark hair. He was wearing a dark top and stone wash jeans.
