A pervert has been jailed today after posing as a teen boy to track down and abuse schoolgirls on Facebook.
Joseph Peacock, 21, used a fake name to target girls at schools in the West Kent area.
If his victims had a web cam, Peacock asked them to make more direct contact with him.
And when they did, he sent them images of an older man performing a sexual act.
Officers launched an investigation and arrested Peacock after a raid on his home in Lodge Oak Lane, Tonbridge.
Detectives then continued their enquiries and found further victims.
Peacock admitted two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Today, a judge at Maidstone Crown Court sentenced him to 16 months behind bars.
DC Mikaela Stevens, who led the investigation, said: "Peacock preyed on unsuspecting children, causing them to watch explicit sexual acts for his own gratification.
"This case demonstrates how easy it is for sexual predators to trick children using the internet.
"It's a clear reminder to people that not everyone on the internet is who they say they are, and may not be using the internet for lawful reasons."
Peacock is required to sign the sex offenders register and upon sentencing was given a sexual offenders prevention order.
