Fake goods found by police team at boot fair

POLICE officers have uncovered a large quantity of counterfeit Tiffany jewellery and other Tiffany branded items in an operation to clamp down on fake goods being sold to the public.

The discovery was made by the Island Neighbourhood Team at a boot fair in Leysdown Road, Leysdown, Sheppey, on Sunday, July 8.

It is estimated the merchandise has a street value of hundreds of pounds.

PC Steve King, from the Island Neighbourhood Team, said: “We will not tolerate fake goods being sold to members of the public and we will continue working with our partners to ensure action is taken against those that wish to engage in these unlawful activities”
