High energy levels, talent and sheer enjoyment are being invested in large measures by young performers in Regency Productions’ show Fame.

The musical will be staged at Margate’s Winter Gardens from Wednesday July 2 to Sunday 6.

Fame follows in the same vein as the Thanet-based company’s sell-out production of High School Music and is produced and directed by Sophia Tarjomani.

It is set during the last years of New York City’s acclaimed High School of Performing Arts.

The production involves 50 cast members, from 14 upwards. Fame - The Musical is a bittersweet but ultimately inspiring tale of students from contrasting backgrounds.

The story of their four years of gruelling artistic and academic work is set against a background of developing romances and friendship.

The show is spiced with electric dance routines and unforgettable songs.

Its high energy dancing and numbers like the title song have ensured the show remains a favourite.

Regency Productions puts on three performances annually and the sell-out High School Musical was their most successful ever.

Performances are at 7.30pm with a matinee on Sunday, July 6 at 2.30pm. Tickets for all shows are £10 with a special offer of two for the price of the one on Wednesday and Thursday, July 2 and 3. Contact the box office on 01843 292795.
