The family of a missing Alzheimer's sufferer has held a tearful appeal for help to bring him home.
Amarjit Lehal, 69, went for a walk from his Chatham address 16 days ago and has not been seen since.
This morning his wife Ravinder and son Harjit held an appeal at Medway Police station to help find the retired teacher.
Mr Lehal called on the public to come forward if they thought they had spotted his father.
He said:"He was a very friendly man and like to walk. Maybe he spoke to you in the street or just gave you a smile.
"We are just hoping people will keep their eyes open for him."
A search involving police dogs, volunteers and a helicopter has so far failed to find the pensioner.
Police have scoured the Blue Bell Hill area following a report Mr Lehal had been spotted there.
Mr Lehal is around 5ft 10in, of slim build with short black, greying hair and a greying beard.
He has gone missing before and has previously been found in Strood, Rochester and Sittingbourne.
Sgt Tim Harris said: We are increasingly concerned for his welfare and are keen to reunite him with his family."
