"He will stay in our hearts and minds forever." These are the words of the family of a 21-year-old killed when his car crashed in to a lamp post in the county.

Anthony James Williams died in hospital after the incident on Ramsgate Road, Margate, early on Wednesday morning.

In a statement his family also said: "We are all trying to come to terms with the shock of losing Anthony.

"He was a very caring young man who was hard working and a home loving boy. He didn’t go out drinking in pubs and nightclubs very often - he preferred to spend his time either at home on his computer or PlayStation or round his mates.

"Anthony enjoyed working nights as a baker and fork-lift driver for Specialty Breads. His dad nick named him Pillsbury Doughboy.

"There are no words that can explain how we are feeling as a family. Anthony will be deeply missed by us and all who knew him."

The road was closed until 12.50pm after the crash, which happened just after 6.30am. An inquest is due to be opened this week.
