Andy Pugh scored twice as Welling United produced a superb display to secure a 4-1 win at Farnborough in Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.
Pugh (pictured) opened the scoring inside the fourth minute when he latched on to Loick Pires' flick-on and neatly tucked away his third goal in as many games.
It was 2-0 on 11 minutes when Jack Oberstellar's corner was headed back by Ben Martin for Anthony Acheampong, whose close-range effort was saved, only for Luis Cumbers to slam home the loose ball.
Loui Fazakerley had to clear off the line at the other end but he failed to make it through to half-time, coming off just before the break with a back injury.
Welling's pace in forward areas was causing Farnborough all sorts of problems and it was no surprise when a swift counter attack was rewarded with a third goal three minutes into the second half.
Joe Healy's long ball over the top saw Pires work his way to the byline and cross for Pugh, who still had plenty to do but produced a clinical finish beyond keeper Alex Tokarczyk.
Substitute Zac Attwood could have made it four moments later but after a neat exchange of passes with Pugh and Pires, he lacked conviction with his finish.
The fourth goal did arrive on 58 minutes, however, when Attwood made good progress down the right and the ball was teed up by Pugh for Pires, whose curling effort found the top corner despite the attempts of Tokarczyk to keep it out.
Reece Connolly produced an excellent run and finish with 12 minutes left to deny on-loan Bournemouth keeper Dan Thomas a clean sheet on his debut after replacing the injured John Whitehouse.
Welling should have added to their tally late on as substitute Stephen Camacho fluffed his lines in front of goal and Pugh was denied a hat-trick when his 20-yard curler was tipped over.
