The deaths of five men in a plane crash in Farnborough were accidental, an inquest's ruled.

The jet hit an empty house -destroying the property just minutes after taking off in March 2008.

The Cessna Citation crashed after reports of engine vibration.

The jet went over a field full of children playing football before ploughing into a detached house in Romsey Close.

Retired homeowners Pat and Ed Harman were away on holiday. The garage of the house next door was destroyed, with the young family inside just yards away.

Pilot Mike Roberts, 63, from Effingham, Surrey, and co-pilot Michael Chapman, 57, from Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, died.

Their passengers, former British Touring Car Championship driver David Leslie, 54, Apex Motorsport boss Richard Lloyd, 63, and Christopher Allarton, 25, also perished.

No evidence was found of a bird or any other object damaging the engine, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch report said.

The inquest jury at Bromley ruled that all five deaths were accidental.
