KENT Police have released the name of the woman who died in a road accident in Sponden Lane, Sandhurst, near Tunbridge Wells, on Bank Holiday Monday.

She was 59-year-old Irene Culshaw, of Mill Street, Iden Green, near Benenden. She died when her Ford Focus left the road on a bend and struck a tree.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
