A 39-year-old man was today in custody after a fatal stabbing in Gillingham.

Detectives launched a murder inquiry after 33-year-old Gary Theo was found wounded in a pool of blood outside his home in Shakespeare Road, on Tuesday night. He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital where he died shortly afterwards.

A man, whom detectives believe may have known the victim, was being quizzed at Chatham Police Station in connection with the incident.
