THE body of a young man from Aylesham, near Canterbury, has been discovered near his home in Spinney Woods, off Spinney Lane.

Mark Cosier was found suspended from a tree at about 5am on Saturday by a member of the public.

Firefighters were called to the scene to assist with the release of the body. Mr Cosier, who was part of a well-known family in the village, was a married man with children.

Flowers have been left at the base of the tree where he was found.

The coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held.
