Faversham Town boss Ray Turner believes his side’s performances against Walton Casuals this season will give them confidence going into this weekend’s trip to Surrey.
The Lilywhites will be keen to get back on the road following three straight defeats at Salters Lane, the last coming in a 1-0 defeat to Godalming last Saturday.
Turner (pictured) said: ""It was disappointing because we wanted to follow up our two good away wins with a home victory, and we do seem to be picking up more points away from home than at Salters Lane.
"I can’t say we have been playing badly at home, the only time that really applied was when we lost 3-1 at home to Hythe over Christmas. And when we lost 4-1 at home to Folkestone last month we were looking quite strong until Matt Bourne got sent off.
"It seems that something always seems to go against us at home at the moment, but we will go to Walton Casuals with a bit of confidence because we have already beaten them twice this season."
The sides met in the FA Trophy preliminary round back in early October, with Faversham winning 5-3 after extra-time in a replay, and then Danny Hockton’s goal earned the Lilywhites a 1-0 league victory at Salters Lane in December.
Walton Casuals are 17th in Ryman League Division 1 South, and Turner added: "Although they are struggling a bit this season they are normally a decent outfit but we are going well away from home and long may that continue."
Turner has a full squad available apart from midfielder James Peacock, who is suspended.
