Kent chief executive Jamie Clifford says the county’s new 2011 membership and ticket packages have "something for everyone" and are the result of listening to and learning from their supporters.

Most matchday admission prices have been reduced across the board, by around £5, while the three new options – Championship Plus, Spitfire Membership and Six Pack – are aimed at satisfying the paying spectator and respecting the present economic climate.

Mr Clifford (pictured) said: "We spoke to a lot of people and also surveyed around 1,300 members and supporters who told us what they expected and were willing to pay. It helped us no end regarding pricing, and realigning our structure.

"Something for everyone is maybe a corny marketing line but it makes a lot of sense. We have a broad community of people with different lifestyles who watch Kent cricket, ranging from families to retired people and we have to appeal to them all."

He added: "We were one of the top half dozen most expensive counties to watch this year but that won’t be the case in 2011.

"I took a lot of stick about our pricing last year and perhaps we did make mistakes, so maybe it was a case of swallowing a bit of pride.

"I feel good about setting prices which are appropriate and appeal. The early response we have had is ‘thank you for listening.’"

New technology will also be in place allowing people to pre-book right up until the day before the games.
