Fire crews raced to Chatham Docks late yesterday afternoon after an alarm went off at a recycling firm.

Crews from Medway and Faversham plus retained crews from Cliffe, Rainham, Gillingham and Chatham, answered the call but soon returned to base after it turned out to be a false alarm.
