Fire crews to rescue of toilet seat tot

A toddler had to be cut free after getting his head stuck in a toilet seat.

The two-year-old boy arrived at Medway Fire Station in Watling Street, Chatham, with his mum and grandmother at about noon on Tuesday.

The youngster had put the child-size seat over his head and couldn't get it off again.

It took the crew just a few minutes to free the child using industrial cutters.

Firefighter Tom Sladden said: “The little boy was crying when he came in and was quite distressed but after we got the seat off him, he seemed fine.

"He didn’t seem hurt at all. We showed him the fire engines and gave him a few stickers which cheered him up.”
