Firefighters tackled a blaze at the Rochester Math School on Tuesday afternoon.
Crews from Strood and Medway were called to the school at 3.10pm after a member of the public dialled 999 when they spotted the roof was alight.
The fire was put out using water hoses , but firefighters then had to remove roof panels to check the blaze had not gone below the roof panels.
It is not clear how the fire started . However, contractors have been carrying out work on the roof of one of the education blocks during the school holidays.
