Firefighters rescued a woman who got stuck 50 feet from the bottom of cliffs at Dover last night after her boyfriend raised the alarm.
The couple had been walking along a path at Jubilee Way when the track became too difficult and steep for the woman to carry on.
After almost an hour of trying to climb the final 10 feet to the top, her boyfriend rang Kent Fire and Rescue Service at 6.10pm.
Two crews from Dover and a specialist line rescue team from Deal were sent to the scene.
Watch Manager Tony Scott said: "She was in quite a precarious position, about 50 feet from the bottom of the cliff but using safe access equipment, we managed to secure the woman until the line rescue team arrived and then she was brought up to the top to safety."
The woman - who's believed to be in her late 30s - was given oxygen as a precaution before being checked over by paramedics.
