Firefighters called to suspicious tanker fire in Forstal Road, Sandling, Maidstone

Firefighters were called to a suspicious fire involving two tanker vehicles during the early hours.

The fire broke out this morning in Forstal Road, Sandling, Maidstone and three fire engines were sent to the scene where firefighters had to wear breathing apparatus to help out out the flames.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “Paramedics also attended the scene and gave people near the incident precautionary checks.”

No one was injured during the incident, but crews said the cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious.
