A friendly five-a-side football tournament to celebrate diversity across Medway is being held in Strood on Wednesday.
The competition is being held at Kicks Soccer Centre, Strood Leisure Centre, Watling Street, and has been organised by Medway Police.
Officers arranged the event to give people from all different backgrounds the chance to get involved in sport.Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Alan Beech helped organise the tournament.
He said: “This will be a great opportunity for members of the community to take part in a competitive football event.
“We have welcomed entrants of all abilities to get involved and have some fun.“We have a wonderfully diverse community across Medway.
“Events such as this bring people of all backgrounds together where they can meet each other and learn more about the diversity of Medway.’
There will be presentations to teams finishing in first, second and third place, along with a fair play award and one for player from the competition.All teams have now been registered but the organisers are welcoming people to come along and give support on the day.
The matches get underway at 10am.
