Folkestone Invicta 1, Crawley Town 3

FOLKESTONE Invicta were brought back down to earth on Tuesday night in front of a 407 crowd at Cheriton Road.

Their third successive home Premier Division defeat of the season came just three days after their heroics in winning 2-1 away to Newport County.

It has all started so well for Invicta's young side as 18-year-old James Millar put them ahead with a blistering strike on his home debut after just nine minutes.

But Crawley were to bounce back and win the game with three goals during a 10-minute spell either side of half time.

The visitors equalised after 42 minutes through Dave Stevens. Then Invicta were caught cold at the start of the second half, as Warren Bagnall converted a cross from the right within two minutes of the re-start to put Crawley ahead.

And the game was put beyond the home side's reach when Stewart Holmes made it 3-1 after 51 minutes.

Invicta are at home to Worcester City on Saturday afternoon and away to Cambridge City on Tuesday night.
