Rock the Bank Holiday weekend into action with a high energy night at Margate's Westcoast on Friday.

Topping the bill and making a welcome return to Margate are The Fool Fighters, regarded as the UK's top Foo Fighters tribute band.

Formed in late 2007, they were inspired by the performance of the Foo's at Live Earth and the Famous Hyde Park performance in front of 85,000 people. The Fools figured that it would be so much fun to play this music and bring the Foo Fighters experience into local venues.

Rehearsals began in December 2007 with the Hyde Park DVD setlist providing the template. The Fool Fighters will be performing songs from all the Foo Fighter albums right up to Echoes Silence Patience & Grace.

Main support for the night are local lads Accident + Emergency whose fusion of rock, electro and techno has won them acclaim.

Opening the night are Altercation, a female-fronted grunge band from London.

Doors open at 7.30pm and entry is £5.
