A POLISH man died after being struck by a car in the county on Wednesday evening.

The victim - who police say was in his 40s - was hit by a blue Audi A4 as he crossed the A20 at Wrotham, near the Horse and Groom pub, at around 6.40pm.

He was declared dead at the scene. The road was closed for around six hours.

The victim has yet to be formally identified.
