Mark Stimson is back in football management just three weeks after leaving Gillingham.

The 42-year-old has taken over the vacant manager’s role at Gillingham’s League 2 rivals Barnet.

The Underhill club have been looking for a new manager since parting company with Ian Hendon, who recently took over at Dover, following Andy Hessenthaler’s departure for Gillingham.

Stimson, pictured, is joined at Barnet by former Gills assistant manager Scott Barrett.

The pair will be keen to start rebuilding at Barnet and could be eyeing some of Gillingham’s out-of-contract players, including the man he made captain at Priestfield, Barry Fuller.
