A former school governor has been charged with rape, indecent assault and gross indecency with a child.

Michael Taylor, 46, of West Street, Hunton was a former governor at Hunton Primary School.

Taylor was charged with two counts of rape of a child under 15, eight counts of indecent assault and two counts of gross indecency with a child.

He has been bailed until his court date which is yet to be set.

Police confirmed that none of the charges are connected to Hunton School and date back to the 1990s.
