Four hurt in multi-vehicle crash

Four people were injured - one seriously - after a smash involving three vehicles.

The crash happened in Guldeford Lane, Brookland on Romney Marsh at around 1pm Friday and involved a silver Ford Escort, a recovery truck and a Ford Focus.

A passenger in the Ford Escort suffered a serious injury and was airlifted to King's Hospital in London.

A second passenger and the driver were taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings, as was a person in the Ford Focus. All suffered injuries described as minor.

The road was closed while emergency services attended.

Kent Police's Serious Crash Investigation Unit has issued an urgent appeal for witnesses and have asked the driver of a red car travelling in the opposite direction who may have seen the collision to come forward.
