Four men charged following a series of cash machine thefts have been remanded in custody by magistrates.
The four appeared before Dartford magistrates on Thursday.
They were accused after thefts and attempted thefts at cash machines in various parts of the county,including one in Gillingham and another in Rainham.
They have been charged with conspiracy to burgle and conspiracy to steal.
The first incident in Medway was on Monday, September 1, at about 4.30am when the four are alleged to have attempted a theft of three cash machines at Tesco in Courteney Road, Gillingham, using a stolen JCB.
Then on Saturday, October 11, at about 5pm they are again alleged to have carried out an attempted theft of cash from Batleys cash and carry in Courteney Road, Rainham, also using a stolen JCB.
Jon Leonard Cloke, 23, Rochester Road, Gravesend, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to burgle involving theft from cash machines and one count of conspiracy to steal.
Tony Clive Hart, 22, Bryony Drive, Kingsnorth, Ashford, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to burgle involving theft from cash machines and one count of conspiracy to steal.
Jason Maurice Reader, 33, formerly of Valley Drive, Gravesend, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to burgle involving theft from cash machines and one count of conspiracy to steal.
Phillip Anthony Scott Turner, 22, formerly of Christianfields Avenue, Gravesend, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to burgle involving theft from cash machines and one count of conspiracy to steal.
The related offences allegedly occurred between June 17, 2008, and October 19, 2008 in Dartford, Gravesend, Sheerness, Larkfield and Ditton.
All four men were charged on Wednesday, January 28 and all are scheduled to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, February 16.
