FOUR people were helped to escape from the roof of a burning building in a Kent town.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at a three-storey building in Harbour Road, Ramsgate, at around 1.45am on Saturday.

Nobody was injured and it has been confirmed that the fire is not being treated as suspicious.

The building contains a restaurant and private flats.
