Fresh appeal over robbery at bookmakers

POLICE have renewed their appeal following a robbery at a bookmakers in a Kent town.

A young man is believed to have entered the shop in Gun Lane, Strood, on December 20, at about 4.30pm and threatened staff who handed over cash.

No one was injured. The suspect is described as white, thought to be aged between 20 and 25, with short, dark, spiky hair, shaven at the sides. He was wearing a dark green fleece and blue jeans.

He is thought to have run off up Wykeham Street following the incident.
