A flat was severely damaged by smoke after a fridge freezer caught fire.
Crews from Medway and Strood fire stations were called to the ground floor flat in John Street, Rochester, shortly after 11.30am on Tuesday.
The flat was empty at the time and no one was injured in the blaze.
