WELLING UNITED’S general manager Graham Hobbins has died suddenly at the age of 57.

Mr Hobbins collapsed during the second half of Welling’s FA Trophy third round win over Worcester last Saturday and was taken to hospital having suffered a stroke. His condition deteriorated and he died on Monday morning.

Welling's manager Adrian Pennock said: "It’s a big loss for the club and we’re all devastated.

"Graham was the one that gave me a chance in management and I’ll always be thankful for that."
