Hi-tech firm GForces has scooped two automotive industry website awards.
The firm based at Bearsted, near Maidstone, won accolades for Best Mobile and Best Dealer websites at the Motor Trader Industry Awards.
The first was for the design and implementation of its site for Essex Auto Group (EAG): www.essexautogroup.com. The mobile-specific features of the site are crucial for the business as around 33% of all car dealer website hits now come from mobile devices. The site also features service booking and tyre ordering tools.
Best Dealer Website was the GForces creation for H R Owen (www.hrowen.co.uk). The website, created by GForces, employs an array of dynamic content – including video and 3D interior tours of cars to promote the high performance and prestige brands sold by HR Owen.
Judges said: “HR Owen’s all-new website is the benchmark by which all other dealer sites should be judged. It is individual and stylish, reflecting the image of the luxury brands the group represents making it a worthy winner of Motor Trader’s Website of the Year Award.”
GForces and its clients have already picked up several awards this year, including another Best Website award from industry publication, Automotive Management, and Best Web Design in both the Auto Trader Click Awards and Car Dealer Power awards.
The company has also landed some of its biggest contracts to date, including a brief to build websites for Vauxhall’s national dealer network.
Tim Smith, commercial director of GForces, said: “Our dedicated team of Kent-based digital specialists has once again proven that it is the best in the business. Our forward-thinking clients also deserve plaudits for embracing new technologies and making them work for their businesses. There’s no greater honour than seeing something developed in-house by GForces deliver real business results into a dealership, especially in today’s difficult market.”
GForces was founded in 1999 by Giles Smith and since then has grown into the leading digital specialist in the automotive industry. The company works with more of the UK’s top 200 franchised dealers and more manufacturers than any rival. Employing well over 150 staff and with a new Coventry office opened in April 2013, GForces continues to buck market trends and grow at a fast rate.
