Gillingham are close to finalising their pre-season programme after announcing four additional fixtures.

The Gills will visit five non-league clubs during their schedule, which currently stands at six games, before the League 2 season starts on August 7.

Pre-season gets under way with two games in two days. The Gills start with a trip to Blue Square South Braintree on Friday, July 9 and then visit Bromley the following day.

A third Blue Square South side provide the oppositon on Tuesday, July 13 when Andy Hessenthaler takes his squad to newly-promoted Dartford.

A home game with Peterborough has already been set for Tuesday, July 20, along with a trip to Hessenthaler's former club, Dover, on Saturday, July 24.

The final confirmed game to date is a trip to newly-promoted Ryman League Premier Division Croydon Athletic on Saturday, July 31.
