Gillingham will take on former England manager Glenn Hoddle’s academy side at Bisham Abbey on Wednesday afternoon.
The match has been arranged following the postponement of Gillingham’s reserve match against Crawley Town on Tuesday.
Hoddle, whose academy is normally based in southern Spain, has assembled a group of young players who he hopes to guide back into professional football after previously being released.
The Gills were left without a reserve fixture throughout January and because of that manager Andy Hessenthaler has also arranged a practice match against Colchester United next Tuesday.
Hessenthaler will look to give a number of players valuable time on the pitch.
Among those looking for action are Mark Bentley, Garry Richards (pictured), Luke Rooney, Stefan Payne and Connor Essam, while Simon King could also be back after sitting out Saturday’s game with soreness in his ankle.
